A FEW THINGS YOU MIGHT BE WONDERING

Let’s clear
the loft questions.

Still have a question? We’re happy to talk.

0800 774 7972
Does Non-Itch release floating fibres?

EcoLoft Non-Itch is designed for comfortable, non-itch handling with no harmful floating fibres. It is a soft polyester insulation made from 100% recycled plastic bottles.

Should I insulate the loft floor or the roof rafters?

Loft-floor insulation helps keep warmth in the rooms below, while the loft itself stays cooler. Insulating the rafters can bring the loft into the insulated envelope. We assess the roof, existing insulation, ventilation and how you use the space before recommending an approach. Both are not automatically necessary.

What is Non-Itch insulation made from?

EcoLoft Non-Itch is made from 100% recycled plastic, including recycled bottles. The soft rolls are designed for comfortable, non-itch handling. We choose the installed depth and arrangement to suit your loft, rather than treating one roll thickness as suitable for every home.

How does reflective multifoil insulation work?

Multifoil combines reflective surfaces with insulating layers. Correctly formed air spaces help the reflective surfaces work. The whole roof build-up matters, including ventilation, sealed joints and moisture control. We specify the system for your property and any applicable Building Regulations requirements.

Can I still use my loft for storage?

Tell us how you use your loft when you enquire. Insulation should not be compressed under stored items or boarding, and access and ventilation need to be considered. We can discuss the practical options after assessing the space.

Will you remove my existing insulation?

Not every loft needs its existing insulation removed. We assess its condition, depth and any damp or other problems before recommending whether to retain, top up or replace it. Any agreed removal work is set out in your quotation.

Where do you install, and how much does it cost?

We install across the UK from our base in Dronfield, Derbyshire. The price depends on the area, access, existing insulation and specification. Send us a few details for advice and a quotation. Customers within 50 miles of Dronfield can also ask about a local installation discount.
